Mashkow
Straight Lines Tattoo
London
Mashkow, coming from a family of artists, was born with a painting brush in hand. When he was 18, his college buddy introduced him to his first tattoo machine. What came next is history. His unique approach of combining portrait and graffiti in his realism tattoos has brought him quite the buzz in his twelve years of experience. Mashkow and his work have won several awards, and he has been featured in The Sun, iNKPPL Tattoo Magazine, and Populist Magazine.
Mashkow is a down to earth person with a free spirit. "For me, tattoos have no sacred meaning. If you like the picture, do not sweat. In my opinion, tattoos should be treated simply and easily," he states. In his style, he creates a synergy between realism portraits, scary imagery, and graffiti. It has grown a lot, but it will always carry elements of hip-hop culture from the 80s and 90s, streetstyle, and horror. His biggest source of inspiration comes from the streets.
He loves incorporating the vibes of different cities, their atmospheres, and cultures. Mashkow is excited about the future of tattoos. There will be more room for creativity and uniqueness in the industry.
